Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Papadoulos holds a BS in Accounting from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and an MS in Banking & Money Management from Adelphi University in New York. He is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Cyprus Association of Chartered Accountants.
Mr. Papadopoulos has worked for Horwarth Afxendiou and Filippidis, Chartered Accountants, between 1992 and 1997, as Audit Manager. He then transitioned as a Senior Audit Manager for HLB Afxentiou and Partners Chartered Accountants. Between June 2003 and January 2016, Mr. Papadopoulos was Secretary-General Manager of the Paphos Cooperative Savings Bank, where he later took over as Head of the Senior Management of Banking Activities of SKT until August 2018.
From September 2018 until February 2020, he held the position of Director of Portfolio Service of the Cyprus Asset Management Company (KEDIPES).
Mr. Papadopoulos was later appointed to the position of CEO of KEDIPERS in February.
Director of Operations and Administrative Services
Mr. Iacovou studied at the University of Kent, where he was awarded a degree in Economics and a postgraduate degree in Management Science. In 1990 he started working at the Cooperative Central Bank Ltd serving the Organization from several areas of responsibility.
During the period of 1997 to 1999, Mr. Iacovou was in charge of the Research & Planning Department. During 1999-2002, he undertook the position of Head of the “Project Office” in charge of a study aiming to investigate available routes leading to the harmonization of the Cooperative Credit Sector (SPT) with the Acquis Communautaire. The primary aim of the project was to identify the optimal route to harmonization.
Mr. Iacovou was successively promoted to Deputy Director in 2002, and to Director in 2004.
In 2015, Mr. Iacovou was promoted to Senior Manager with extended areas of responsibility driving and leading the Operations and Administrative Services of the Organization.
During the decisive transitional period of the establishment of the Cyprus Asset Management Company – KEDIPES, the period between August 2018 and February 2020, Stavros Iacovou was appointed Acting Chief Executive Officer responsible for steering the Organization towards the transition from a Banking institution to an Asset Management Company and safeguarding continuity of servicing the legacy NPE portfolio of the Cyprus Cooperative Bank.
Chief Financial Officer
He studied ‘Industrial Economics with Accounting’ at the University of Nottingham between 1988 and 1991.
Between 1991 and 1994 he worked at auditing firm KPMG in England, where he successfully completed the exams and became a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
In 1995 he obtained an MBA in International Banking and Finance at the University of Birmingham.
Between 1995 and 2014 he worked at Alpha Bank Cyprus. He held a number of managerial positions and on 26.4.2013 he was appointed General Manager Risk and Finance and an executive member of the Board of Directors of Alpha Bank Cyprus. He also served as a member of the Board of Directors of Alpha Insurance Ltd and Emporiki Bank Cyprus Ltd.
On 15.9.2014 he joined the Cooperative Central Bank as Chief Financial Officer and from 1.9.2018 he has the same position at Cyprus Asset Management Company (KEDIPES).
Chief Deleveraging and Monitoring Officer
George Hatjantonas holds a Bachelors degree in Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford and a Masters degree in Finance from the London Business School
He is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
He has extensive experience in banking in the areas of risk management, restructuring and recoveries, deleverage, corporate banking and corporate finance. He has held senior management positions in Bank of Cyprus and Laiki Bank.
Chief Risk and Compliance Officer
Efthymios Pantazis is a holder of a B.A. in Economics and Social Studies, with specialisation in Accounting & Finance, from the University of Manchester, UK. He is a qualified accountant, active member of the Institute of Chartered Certified Accountants, of ICPAC and CIIA.
After completing his studies, he worked for Deloitte & Touche for 4 years (1993-1997) and then joined Cooperative Central Bank where he worked for 21 years (1997-2018), serving from various positions of responsibility as Senior Manager. With the establishment of KEDIPES, in September 2018, he was appointed Manager of the Restructurings & Write-Offs Sanctioning Unit. From November of 2020 he is the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer.
