New member of the Board of Directors of KEDIPES.
The Board of Directors of KEDIPES approved Mr. Sophocles Parapanos for the position of independent non-executive member of the Board of Directors, after the approval by the Central Bank of Cyprus.
Mr. Parapanos assumed his duties on the 15th of April 2020.
Mr. Parapanos holds a master’s degree in Finance from the University of Northern Illinois University, USA. He has 30 years of experience in the banking sector specializing in international capital markets and financing in emerging markets.
He has held key positions, among others, at HSBC (Wardley Cyprus Ltd) and the international financial institution, London Forfaiting Company PLC.
Mr. Parapanos was the co-founder and CEO of the first Cypriot, non-banking, commercial financing institution in European emerging markets, and the provision of services currency.
He now serves as the head of a company specializing in providing consulting services while he has served as a member of multiple financial boards and other companies.
